Chris has spent all his working life involved in the hospitality industry in the UK and overseas. Beginning his career at the infamous Grand Hotel in Manchester and then heading off to work on cruise ships in his youth Chris returned to UK and became a General Manager with Crest Hotels.

After working in various other 4* hotels for over 18 years he set up CTA Leisure in 1994 with his wife Francesca. Chris has an unparalleled knowledge of hotels both from his experience as a GM but also from organising conferences and tour accommodation over many years all over the country and in Europe. He has a true love of the industry and is highly respected amongst hoteliers and clients alike. Chris has a vast knowledge of sport and the sporting industry but cricket is a particular speciality, his exploits in which have resulted in a recent meeting with HRH the Queen!

Likes and Dislikes

Likes…you've guessed it, if Chris isn't busy organising the teams tour accommodation, then he likes nothing better than watching a good innings or his faithful Manchester City!

Dislikes...Rain & wet British Summers!!!

 

Vicky Guest

Finance Manager, Consultant

Vicky went to catering college in Torquay gaining her qualifications in Hotel and Catering Administration. She went on to join Ladbroke Hotels as a Management Trainee before becoming General Manager of a hotel in Kensington. Vicky has a vast operational knowledge of hotels but also of cricket and is a member of the

ECB Association of Cricket Officials, regularly match scoring for her local cricket team. As well as managing the finances of CTA Leisure, Vicky has developed fantastic working relationships with almost all of the minor counties cricket clubs in the country as well as arranging and managing all the international women’s cricket accommodation requirements on behalf of the England and Wales Cricket Board. She has been a consultant at CTA Leisure since 2000.

Likes and dislikes

Likes Vicky is a self-confessed chocoholic but really loves nothing better than sitting in the sunshine with her kindle and a glass of wine watching a good game of cricket!

Dislikes – VAT!!… and anything that prevents her getting out and enjoying the sunshine!

 

Sarah Brooks

Cricket and Media Consultant

Sarah has been with CTA Leisure since 2001 having studied Psychology at university in London whilst working as a nanny she has since gone on to attain qualifications in counselling and consequently as a yoga teacher! The lure of the industry has kept her at CTA Leisure despite a varied CV and Sarah has now

become a skilled negotiator who has developed great working relationships both with the hotels and also her varied client base including our First Class County cricket clubs, various ECB departments, Sky Sports and the Sunset + Vine TV production company. 

Likes and Dislikes

Likes – Netball, yoga, swimming (especially without kids in tow!), going to festivals and evenings in with friends, food and wine! Sarah loves watching sport too whether it be cricket, football, snooker or tennis and all the above should occur in the summer months!!

Dislikes – Being cold and not having enough time to do all the above!!

 

Sarah Roscoe

Conference & Events Consultant

Sarah Roscoe, the newest member of the team, joined in 2014 having spent 20 years in hotels working in a variety of roles including Conference and Events Sales Manager. Prior to CTA Leisure she worked in the Central Reservations Office for a small group of hotels booking both accommodation and events. Since arriving at CTA Sarah has  joined Chris looking after our Conference Department.  

Sarah’s relaxed but professional manner makes her a popular member of the team both with the hotels and our entire client base.

Likes and Dislikes

Likes – Sarah loves spending time with her family and her miniature schnauzer Dougal, walks on the beach, eating out with friends and yoga.

Dislikes – Being cold (getting a theme here!), and rude people!
